Poetry Pantry #366

Picturesque Wharf Village of Steveston, BC
Photos by Wendy Bourke

Happy Sunday to you, Poets! This week we are happy to share photos taken by Wendy Bourke recently.  Thanks, Wendy, for thinking of us!

This past week was a good one at Poets United, wasn't it?   On Monday Sherry featured three wonderful poets from Poets United - Pearl, Wendy, and Sara.  If you haven't read that feature, please take a look, as all three of them are certainly integral to our community.

On Wednesday, Sumana had a very unique prompt for Midweek Motif:  Kintsugi - Art of Mending.  Oh my, so many unique takes on that theme.  Thanks to those of you who wrote to it.  If you didn't, you definitely missed something special.

Please take a look at Rosemary's Moonlight Musing if you have not.  The question being discussed is "Am I Any Good?"  It is a question we all ask ourselves sometimes, don't we?  And there is an excellent discussion taking place, which you will enjoy, I know.

Do NOT miss Monday's discussion here at Poets United.  As some of you may know, Susan had an excellent opportunity to workshop with a well-known poet.  Sherry and Susan had  a most interesting conversation about it.  It is a post you will not want to miss.

With no further delay, let's share poetry.  Link your poem below.  Stop in to the comments to say hello.  And then visit the poems of others who have linked.  Thank you all for being part of our community.

  7. Beautiful pictures. It looks like a place I'd like to spend time at. Posted something very different today. It is not technically poetry, but is poetic. It's from the high school days.
Look forward to readings others as well. Have a great day.

  15. I love the photos, Wendy. Thank you. And thanks, Mary, for hosting. I went back to Rosemary's Moonlight Musings and re-read everything as many more comments were added since I was last there. What a wonderful discussion resulted from your musings, Rosemary. Facebook alerted me that it is a very high-producing post, it generated a lot of very interesting discussion. Yay! Tomorrow I will be out of town at an appointment, but I will have my tablet with me and will attend the feature as soon as I am able to in the late afternoon. Susan has a very interesting experience to share and I am stoked!
